LEST WE FORGET
ABOUT The FILM
The LEST WE FORGET video was created through participation of the Hasting & Prince Edward Regiment, 8 Wing Trenton, HMCS Cataraqui, The National Air Force Museum of Canada the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes in Kingston and many other wonderful organizations and people!
The LEST WE FORGET Video graces the 11 foot-high black granite obelisk flanked by a series of interpretative signs which highlight Canada's contributions in WW1, WW2, Korea and other conflicts up to the present day. The Memorial is placed beside the Deloro Mine which provided the stellite and cobalt used for all the munitions, equipment, (like the Spitfire), precision instruments and medical equipment used by our brave soliders.
Reservists from the Hastings Prince Edward Regiment participated in the filming and played all the main roles in the video. The timeless beauty of the Monument ensures the stories and contributions of our soldiers will live on - and also that a younger generation will also learn about their valour and service.
